Akron came out on top against Newfane on Monday thanks in part to Ryan Owen's efforts. Owen scored a run while going 3-for-3, which was good enough to set a new career-high in hits.

Owen's strong effort led Akron over Newfane and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers are 8-2 against the Panthers going back to June of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
