Soccer Recap: Hampton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Obama Academy of International Studies on Thursday, Hampton came back down to earth. The Talbots fell just short of the North Allegheny Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for Hampton in their meetings with North Allegheny: they've now lost nine in a row.

Hampton's loss dropped their record down to 8-2-2. As for North Allegheny, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3-2.

Hampton and North Allegheny should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Talbots will square off against Kiski Area at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (45 vs. 346). Meanwhile, North Allegheny (ranked 30th) will meet Pine-Richland (ranked 187th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
