Football Recap: Pearl City-Eastland's Undefeated Season over After Three Games + How To Watch

If Pearl City-Eastland was riding high fresh off their 22-0 takedown of Morrison last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats took a 27-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Galena Pirates on Friday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pearl City-Eastland fell to 2-1. As for Galena, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Pearl City-Eastland will face off against Fennimore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Eagles' defense has only allowed 12.8 points per game this season, so the Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Galena, they will challenge Durand/Pecatonica at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Rivermen have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
