Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Dominick Hapner and Rifath Lian Lead Central to Victory

Central barely beat Northland Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians put the hurt on Northland Christian with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The Indians haven't had any issues with Northland Christian recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-16, 25-23.

Central was led to victory by Rifath Lian and Dominick Hapner. Lian had 18 assists and seven digs, while Hapner had seven digs and one assist. Lian is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 13 or more in each of the last five games he's played.

Central was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive contests.

Central's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-12. As for Northland Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.

Central has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Staley on the 16th. Northland Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
