Basketball Recap: Maple River Comes Up Short

Maple River was the 78-60 winner over St. James when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Maple River Eagles fell 74-61 to the St. James Saints on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly 13 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Maple River and nudges their season record down to 5-8. As for St. James, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Maple River will venture away from home to square off against Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Maple River surely won't give up without a fight. St. James will take on Luverne in a holiday battle at at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
