Football Recap: South Johnston Trojans vs. Corinth Holders Pirates
After flying high against Triton last Thursday, South Johnston came back down to earth. The South Johnston Trojans lost 41-17 to the Corinth Holders Pirates on Friday. The loss was the Trojans' first of the season.

Jaylon Holder had a dynamite game for Corinth Holders, rushing for 147 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. The bulk of thoserushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 91 yards. David Jarman was another key player, throwing for 237 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per attempt.
South Johnston's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1. As for Corinth Holders, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
