Volleyball Recap: Cotopaxi Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cotopaxi was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Custer County Bobcats, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Cotopaxi was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 18 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 25-18.

Hayden Eggleston paced Cotopaxi's offense, picking up ten kills. Eggleston got some help from Sophie Eggleston and her ten assists. Sophie and Hayden didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Cotopaxi's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Custer County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Cotopaxi has already played their next matchup (against La Veta), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Custer County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Center on the 26th.
