Volleyball Recap: Cotopaxi Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cotopaxi was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Custer County Bobcats. The Pirates were not able to make up for their loss to the Bobcats from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Cotopaxi may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 18 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 25-18.

Hayden Eggleston paced Cotopaxi's offense, picking up ten kills. Eggleston got some help from Sophie Eggleston and her ten assists. Sophie and Hayden didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Hayden Hampton had a dynamite game For Custer County., getting 17 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Hampton has posted since back in August. Sierra Foster also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Cotopaxi's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Custer County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Cotopaxi has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against La Veta on the 26th. As for Custer County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Center on the 26th.
