Goodrich dropped their record down to 17-5 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell 8-5 to the Owosso Trojans. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Kash Bohlen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Parker Pannell, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

As for Owosso, they pushed their record up to 17-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games.

On Owosso's side, Eden Ackley made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Ackley has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted over his last 14 matches.

In other batting news, Carson Moore was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Austin Blaha was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Goodrich will face off against Powers Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Owosso, they will venture away from home to take on Holly at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
