Football Recap: Hereford Whitefaces vs. Seminole Indians

After flying high against Perryton two weeks ago, Hereford came back down to earth. The Hereford Whitefaces were outmatched by the Seminole Indians on the road and fell 49-17. The game marked the Whitefaces' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

It was another big night for Wyatt Holmstrom, who threw for 342 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries for Seminole. Holmstrom's passing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 341 passing yards dating back to last season. Caton Cramer did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 52 receiving yards.

The loss snapped Hereford's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-1 record. As for Seminole, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hereford will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Randall at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th. As for Seminole, they will square off against Fort Stockton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 933 yards in their previous games.
