Basketball Recap: Perkiomen Valley Vikings vs. Boyertown Bears
Perkiomen Valley won the last time they faced Boyertown and things went their way on Thursday too. The Perkiomen Valley Vikings secured a 53-48 W over the Boyertown Bears. The win was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Despite the loss, Boyertown still got an impressive performance from Trey Kern, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 24 points and six rebounds. Kern's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Rath, who posted seven points.
Perkiomen Valley's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Boyertown, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-4.
Perkiomen Valley is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Spring-Ford at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boyertown, they will welcome Fleetwood at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday.
