Tahoma is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Mt. Rainier is on a four-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Bears will host the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Tahoma 4, Mt. Rainier 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Tahoma's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Kentlake as they made off with an 8-0 win. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by seven runs or more this season.
Brayden Fenton tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Tahoma is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-3 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Trey Davies was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Beckett Turnbow was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Tahoma was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mt. Rainier). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over Kentwood on Wednesday.
The team relied heavily on Johnny Hall, who went 3-for-7 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Rian Eaton, who went 3-for-6 with one triple and one RBI.
Tahoma is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Mt. Rainier, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Tahoma has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Mt. Rainier struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Tahoma took their win against Mt. Rainier in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-1 score. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
