Basketball Preview: Massac County Patriots vs. Ballard Memorial Bombers
Massac County has been on the road for three straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Ballard Memorial Bombers at 6:15 p.m. on February 3rd. Hopefully Massac County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
Even though Harrisburg scored an imposing 70 points, Massac County still came out on top. Massac County snuck past the Bulldogs with a 76-70 victory.
Isaac Hosman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Will Harmon was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Meanwhile, Ballard Memorial was beaten by the Eagles 74-36 on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ballard Memorial has scored all season.
Massac County is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Ballard Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.
Massac County was able to grind out a solid victory over the Bombers in their previous matchup back in January of 2018, winning 64-55. Will Massac County repeat their success, or do the Bombers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
