Mountain View has gone a perfect 4-0 against Gilroy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Mountain View is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Mountain View came up short against Los Altos and fell 3-1. While the Spartans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-21 in the first set.

Mountain View started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-12, 27-25, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Gilroy didn't have quite enough to beat Lincoln on Thursday and fell 3-2.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Gilroy sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-27, 25-17, 18-25, 15-10.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Gilroy, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.

Everything went Mountain View's way against Gilroy in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Mountain View made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
