Preview: Westborough vs. North Middlesex Regional
Westborough will take on North Middlesex Regional at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. Westborough are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.
After a disappointing 0 points in their last game, Westborough made sure to put some points up on the board against Groton-Dunstable last Saturday. Westborough made easy work of Groton-Dunstable and carried off a 38-7 victory. With Westborough ahead 24-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Meanwhile, after a dominant win in their match two weeks ago, North Middlesex Regional were humbled. They have to be aching after a bruising 14-42 loss to Fitchburg.
Westborough's win lifted them to 1-3 while North Middlesex Regional's defeat dropped them down to 2-2. In Westborough's win, junior Ethan Clark rushed for 56 yards and 1 touchdown and junior Luke Lentine accumulated 131 passing yards and picked up 39 yards on the ground. We'll see if North Middlesex Regional have a strategy for dealing with them or if they lead their team to another successful outing.
