Softball Recap: Princeton Snags Ninth Win in Last 12 Games

There's no place like home for Princeton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Everything went their way against the CORE Butte Lynx on Tuesday as they made off with a 16-10 win. Considering the Eagles have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Reyna Sullivan, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played. Jada Dillard was another key player, getting on base in four of her seven plate appearances with two RBI.

Princeton is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for CORE Butte, they dropped their record down to 7-15 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Princeton beat the Lynx by a score of 9-8 later that day.
