Softball Game Preview: Kalida Wildcats vs. Ottawa-Glandorf Titans

The Kalida Wildcats will head out to face off against the Ottawa-Glandorf Titans at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Kalida and three for Ottawa-Glandorf.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Kalida's offense. They lost 10-0 to Columbus Grove on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly ten runs.

Meanwhile, Ottawa-Glandorf didn't have quite enough to beat Leipsic on Wednesday and fell 12-11.

Libbie Niese made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Haley Meyer, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple.

Ottawa-Glandorf's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Kalida, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.

Kalida couldn't quite finish off Ottawa-Glandorf in their previous matchup last Monday and fell 9-7. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
