Basketball Recap: Red Mesa Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Red Mesa had lost four straight headed into Friday's match, but Tianna Bradley didn't let it get to five. The Red Mesa Redskins breezed by the Rough Rock Sun Devils to the tune of 53-18 on Friday thanks in part to Bradley, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 12 points and five steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in January.

The team also got some help courtesy of Shyla Pipkin, who posted no points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Red Mesa's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Rough Rock, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Red Mesa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-30 defeat against Rock Point on the 20th. As for Rough Rock, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on El Capitan at 4:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
