Basketball Recap: Roosevelt Takes a Loss

Roosevelt suffered their closest loss since January 25, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Harrisburg Tigers by a score of 59-56. While losing is never fun, the Rough Riders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Tigers are ranked 14th).

This is the second loss in a row for Roosevelt and nudges their season record down to 3-7. As for Harrisburg, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Roosevelt will challenge Yankton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Harrisburg, they will square off against Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harrisburg is facing Jefferson at the right time seeing as Jefferson is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
