Basketball Recap: Robertsdale Comes Up Short

Robertsdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 69-52 fall against the Cottage Hill Christian Academy Warriors. That's two games in a row now that the Golden Bears have lost by exactly 17 points.

Despite the defeat, Robertsdale saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Skyler Washington went 7 of 16 en route to 16 points along with six assists and five steals. Those six assists gave Washington a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Koehn Turner, who posted eight points and four steals.

Robertsdale's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Cottage Hill Christian Academy, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Robertsdale will welcome Daphne at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Daphne will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Robertsdale surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cottage Hill Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bayside Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
