Volleyball Game Preview: Huron River Rats vs. Dexter Dreadnaughts

Huron hasn't had much luck against Dexter recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The River Rats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dreadnaughts at 9:00 a.m.

Huron came up short against Skyline on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Dexter got the win against Chelsea on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Dreadnaughts in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won eight in a row.

While Dexter won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-17.

Huron better focus on containing Sarina Wisniewski and Chloe Burns as the pair were huge in Dexter's win. Wisniewski had four digs and four aces, while Burns hit 50% for five kills and eight digs and three aces. That's the most digs Wisniewski has posted over her last three matches.

Dexter's victory bumped their record up to 33-5-2. As for Huron, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-19-1.

Huron might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Dexter in their previous meeting back in September. Can the River Rats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
