Basketball Game Preview: Middleburg Broncos vs. Keystone Heights Indians

The Middleburg Broncos just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Keystone Heights Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 81-43, which was the final score in Middleburg's tilt against Union County on Monday. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Keystone Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They took a blow against Wildwood, falling 75-28. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 740th, while the Wildcats are ranked 270th).

Keystone Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Middleburg, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.

Middleburg didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Keystone Heights when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 72-67 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Middleburg since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
