While Carlsbad put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for El Camino. The Carlsbad Lancers came out on top in a nail-biter against the El Camino Wildcats, sneaking past 1-0. The one-run effort marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Ian Fisher tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024.

Carlsbad now has a winning record of 3-2. As for El Camino, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Carlsbad will be taking part in a tournament against San Ysidro at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. San Ysidro's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Carlsbad's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for El Camino, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 17-3 win against Oceanside on the 10th.
