Football Game Recap: Tonawanda vs. Burgard

Burgard had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Tonawanda on Friday as they made off with a 28-6 win.

Burgard's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 16 points in the first half. Tonawanda came up with 6 to make it 16-6 heading into the break. The other side of the ball continued to do well for Burgard in the second half and held Tonawanda to 0 points. The game evens up both teams records, with Burgard at 0-0 and Tonawanda at 0-0-1.

Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Burgard will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Newfane at 7:30 PM. As for Tonawanda, they will face off against Dunkirk.
