Football Recap: Southern Comes Up Short

Southern lost against Miller back in November of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tornadoes had to suffer through a 52-14 loss at the hands of the Falcons.

Zander Bice had an outrageously good game for Miller as he rushed for 200 yards and three TDs on only 11 carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Bice has posted since back in October of 2024. Noah Lemaster helped out on the ground, rushing for 110 yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Southern's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Miller, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Southern will be playing in front of their home fans against Green at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Miller, they will head out to challenge Berne Union at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Falcons their first taste of in-conference action this season.
