Basketball Game Preview: Stargate School Eagles vs. Denver Christian Thunder

The Stargate School Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Denver Christian Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Stargate School is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Kent Denver on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Stargate School was dealt an 87-51 loss at the hands of Kent Denver. The Eagles have struggled against the Sun Devils recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Denver Christian earned a 63-50 victory over Eagle Ridge Academy on Wednesday. Given the Thunder's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Warriors are ranked 239th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Denver Christian has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Stargate School, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
