Cheshire took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hamden Green Dragons, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rams have posted since May 1, 2024.

Cheshire saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Chopak, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Cheshire will head out to challenge Stamford at 1:00 p.m. on April 5. As for Hamden, they will welcome Londonderry at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
