Mount Everett Regional took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Westfield Technical Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Tigers 22-21 on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Kamari Pridgen and Celia Lennex did most of the damage at the plate: Pridgen got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Lennex got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. That's the most RBI Pridgen has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of London Krans, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

With the win, Mount Everett Regional broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-13. As for Westfield Technical Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Mount Everett Regional will have a chance to go back-to-back against Westfield Technical Academy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
