Basketball Recap: Elyria Catholic Takes a Loss

Elyria Catholic lost against Padua Franciscan back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Elyria Catholic Panthers took a 49-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Padua Franciscan Bruins. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 620th, while the Bruins are ranked 151st).

Elyria Catholic's loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Padua Franciscan, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Looking ahead, Elyria Catholic will take on Collinwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Padua Franciscan, they will challenge Brush at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
