Volleyball Recap: Carroll's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past + How To Watch

Carroll barely beat Tri-Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Trojans on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Carroll took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-9, 25-5.

Carroll's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mady Isley led the charge by getting six kills and three aces. That's the most kills Isley has posted over her last five matches. Another player making a difference was Kinleigh Randle, who had five aces.

They weren't the only good server: Carroll was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Carroll's win bumped their record up to 2-16. As for Tri-Central, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carroll will welcome Frontier at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tri-Central, they will host Madison-Grant at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
