Baseball Recap: Lemoore Drops Season-High Score on Dinuba

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lemoore). Everything went their way against the Dinuba Emperors on Wednesday as they made off with a 17-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Lemoore let Tyson Kinter and Ian Snell run wild. Kinter went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Snell scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Snell a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Tristan Puga, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Lemoore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Lemoore pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Dinuba, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Lemoore will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Emperors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
