Recap: Freer Buckaroos vs. Kaufer Seahawks
The Freer Buckaroos entered their tilt with the Kaufer Seahawks with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Freer enjoyed a cozy 53-37 victory over Kaufer on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Freer, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Jayda Washington was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. The match was her third in a row with at least ten points. Ashlyn Bulter was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds.
Freer's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.1 points per game. As for Kaufer, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.
Freer will head out on the road to face off against Santa Maria at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Maria is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Kaufer, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Agua Dulce at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Agua Dulce's defense has only allowed 27.9 points per game this season, so Kaufer's offense will have their work cut out for Kaufer.
