McDowell has gone 9-1 against East Burke recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The two teams will face off at 6:30 p.m. without much rest having both just played. McDowell has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

McDowell saw some tournament action on Thursday. They really took it to Avery County for the full four quarters, racking up an 80-51 victory. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 27 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Rylan Parkins, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Galbreath, who put up nine points.

Meanwhile, East Burke can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Smoky Mountain by a score of 69-60.

McDowell's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points per game. As for East Burke, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

McDowell strolled past East Burke in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a score of 57-40. Will McDowell repeat their success, or does East Burke have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
