Recap: Eaton Reds vs. Sterling Tigers
Make it five blowout wins for the Eaton Reds this season. They really took it to Sterling for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-18 victory at home. Winning may never get old, but Eaton sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Eaton found their leader in underclassman Saryiah Gaona, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Gaona continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Tayla Wiedeman was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Sterling still got an impressive performance from Grace Petersen, who scored six points.
Eaton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Sterling, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5.
Eaton will head out on the road to face off against Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sterling, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Weld Central at 6:00 p.m.
