Baseball Recap: Sunray Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Sunray couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the New Deal Lions on Friday, falling 12-4. The Bobcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 8-7.

Parker Johnson made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Issac Mendoza was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Sunray's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for New Deal, their victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-3.

As of now, neither Sunray nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
