Volleyball Recap: Castle View Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Castle View can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Valor Christian Eagles on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Sabercats in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 22-25, 25-20, 25-17.

Abbylynn Farrell paced Castle View's offense, picking up 13 kills. Farrell got some help from Kaiya Gilbert and her 29 assists. Gilbert was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Castle View's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Valor Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Castle View nor Valor Christian have any future games scheduled.
