Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Comes Up Short

Trinity Christian had lost four straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 0-2 to make it five. They had to suffer through a 71-36 loss at the hands of Trinity Christian Homeschool. The Tigers were down 51-31 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

As for Trinity Christian Homeschool, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season.

Levi Syx produced another solid performance dropping a double-double with 23 points and ten rebounds. He is becoming a predictor of Trinity Christian Homeschool's success: when he posts at least 20 points the team is 5-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Desmond Crawford, who went 5-for-7 en route to 11 points.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Tabernacle at 6:00 p.m. on January 20, 2026. Trinity Christian Homeschool and Master's Hand Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
