Orion took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 40-21 win over the Hall Red Devils. The victory continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won five in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orion to victory, but perhaps none more so than Owen Voorhees, who picked up 133 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. Another passer making a difference was Kale Filler, who threw for 178 yards and a pair of TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Orion was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 222 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 177 rushing yards in four consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Orion is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Monmouth-Roseville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hall, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Erie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Red Devils' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
