Football Recap: Butler Piles Up the Points Against North Mecklenburg + How To Watch

Butler never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed past the North Mecklenburg Vikings to the tune of 28-0. The contest marked the Bulldogs' most dominant win of the season.

Leading Butler to victory were DeMaurion Thomas-Wright and Donovan Pollard. Thomas-Wright gained 181 total yards and two touchdowns, while Pollard gained 70 total yards and two touchdowns. Thomas-Wright also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Bulldogs are undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

Butler was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 238 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive games.

Butler now has a winning record of 4-3. As for North Mecklenburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.
