Basketball Recap: Mildred's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Mildred was the 69-55 winner over Edgewood when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Mildred Eagles took a 52-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Edgewood Bulldogs on Tuesday. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Mildred's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brennan Moore, who posted seven points along with 15 boards and three blocks. Caleb Harper was another key player, putting up six points.

Even though they lost, Mildred smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Mildred's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-7. As for Edgewood, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
