Baseball Recap: Hernando Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hernando can now relate to. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (6-5), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Kaine Ellis was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Hernando's loss dropped their record down to 16-14. As for The Villages Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.

While Hernando had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
