Basketball Recap: Tescott Comes Up Short

Tescott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 53-20 loss at the hands of the Rock Hills Grizzlies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 49-20 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rock Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Meili Ost, who went 7 of 11 en route to 18 points and four steals. Bethany Simmelink was another key player, going 5 for 11 on her way to 13 points and eight rebounds.

Tescott's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Rock Hills, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Tescott will challenge St. John's/Tipton Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rock Hills, they will take on Sylvan-Lucas on February 4th.
