Basketball Recap: Stone Ridge Christian Piles Up the Points Against Gustine

Stone Ridge Christian entered their tilt with Gustine on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They really took it to the Gustine Reds for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-30 victory. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 40-21 win the Reds walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.

Stone Ridge Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bella Ewing, who posted 24 points. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Ewing has scored at least a third of Stone Ridge Christian's points. Tailynn Dungy was another key player, putting up 19 points.

Stone Ridge Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Gustine, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stone Ridge Christian will head out to face off against Mariposa County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gustine, they will venture away from home to challenge Waterford at 7:00 p.m. on January 14th.
