Basketball Game Preview: Penn Treaty Wolves vs. TECH Freire Charter Dragons

The Penn Treaty Wolves will venture away from home to square off against the TECH Freire Charter Dragons at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Penn Treaty is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Penn Treaty was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 66-62 to Nueva Esperanza.

Despite their loss, Penn Treaty saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Heavon Washington, who posted 25 points, was perhaps the best of all. The contest was Washington's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Tyler Williamson-Brown was another key player, putting up 21 points.

Meanwhile, TECH Freire Charter suffered their biggest defeat since November 30, 2024 on Wednesday. They were dealt a 72-30 loss at the hands of Sankofa Freedom Academy. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 470th, while the Warriors are ranked 174th).

Penn Treaty's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for TECH Freire Charter, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8.
