Baseball Game Preview: Newton Falls Tigers vs. Crestview Rebels

For the second straight game, Newton Falls will face off against Crestview. The Tigers will square off against the Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Newton Falls will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Newton Falls turned things around against Crestview on Monday. They blew past the Rebels 11-1. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

Cameron Huff made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Newton Falls' win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Crestview, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
