Soccer Recap: Brunswick Comes Up Short

Brunswick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bradwell Institute Tigers. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Brunswick's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bradwell Institute, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-3.

Coming up, Brunswick will take on Glynn Academy at 5:00 p.m. on March 7th. Glynn Academy knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Brunswick likes a good challenge. As for Bradwell Institute, they will look to defend their home pitch on March 7th against South Effingham at 5:00 p.m. South Effingham will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Bradwell Institute surely won't give up without a fight.
