Basketball Recap: Forest Park Comes Up Short

After flying high against Carver Vo-Tech last Wednesday, Forest Park came back down to earth. The Forest Park Foresters were beaten by the Rosedale Christian Academy Rosedale Panthers 61-32 on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Foresters can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Rosedale Panthers are ranked tenth).

Several Foresters players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was INDIA WATKINS, who posted ten points and four steals. Another player making a difference was JOLIE HAMILTON, who earned seven points and six rebounds.

Forest Park has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season. As for Rosedale Christian Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.

Forest Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 81-12 win against Green Street Academy on the 14th. As for Rosedale Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-14 victory against Woodlawn on the 13th.
