Softball Recap: Michigan Lutheran Takes a Loss

After flying high against River Valley last Monday, Michigan Lutheran came back down to earth. The Titans fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 11-10 on Tuesday. The Titans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 12-1.

Addy Wetzel was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Allie Lesher was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Michigan Lutheran's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-15. As for River Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 16-11.

Looking ahead, River Valley will challenge Bloomingdale at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. Michigan Lutheran will be paying especially close attention to River Valley's contest: after River Valley faces off against Bloomingdale, they'll take on Michigan Lutheran again at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
