Soccer Recap: Huntsville Comes Up Short

Huntsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Montgomery Bears. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Hornets couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Marco Alvarado, who's now up to three this season.

Huntsville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Montgomery, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-7.

Coincidentally, Huntsville and Montgomery will both be playing A&M Consolidated the next time they take the pitch. Montgomery will head out to face A&M Consolidated at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Huntsville will host them at 7:30 p.m. on March 7th.
