Softball Game Preview: Lee Williams Volunteers vs. Mingus Marauders

Lee Williams is 1-9 against Mingus since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Lee Williams will be playing at home against Mingus at 3:30 p.m. Lee Williams has given up an average of 7.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lee Williams came up short against Cactus Shadows on Saturday, falling 11-4. The Volunteers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lee Williams saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Raeleigh Pugh, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Those two hits gave Pugh a new career-high.

Meanwhile, while it was Mingus who put the first points on the board on Thursday, it was Bradshaw Mountain who put up more. Mingus fell just short of Bradshaw Mountain by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Marauders have suffered against the Bears since April 12, 2022.

Lee Williams' loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Mingus, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
