Softball Game Preview: Putnam Kingsmen vs. Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts Mustangs

For the second straight game, Putnam will face off against Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts. The Kingsmen will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Putnam has four straight victories, Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Wednesday, Putnam made easy work of Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts and carried off a 10-2 win.

For Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts' part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sage Nuckols, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.

Putnam pushed their record up to 9-14 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-18.
